Geely Connected Services is a service that allows your Geely to access a range of online functions via an embedded 4G SIM card. This allows you to check and control your vehicle remotely, and access internet-based functions in your Geely.
You can either continue to subscribe to the data service (details and pricing to be announced in due course) or tether your vehicle to your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot to continue to access online features. If you decide to not continue the subscription, you will not have access to the remote vehicle control and status via the Geely App.
Download and register an account on the Geely App before picking up your new Geely. The download links to the app are at the top of this page. Once you collect your vehicle, your vehicle will be linked to your Geely App within 1-2 business days.
You can use the application for as long as your vehicle is connected to the internet – either through:
- The 4G embedded SIM (2-year period), or
- A paid data subscription (available after the 2-year period), or
- Your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot.
To use the Geely App and Connected Services, we collect the following:
– First name and surname
– Email address
– Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Once input into the system, the data is then anonymised.
Yes, you can cancel your account on the app and also turn off permissions directly from your vehicle by going to:
Vehicle Settings > My Car > Privacy and Permissions > Connected Services
and switching the permission off. Reactivating the account will require you to contact your local Authorised Dealer.
You have access to up to 2 GB of data per month. This is reset at the end of every month.
Your access will be limited to the remote vehicle control and status available on the Geely App. You will not be able to stream media or make any downloads until the data is reset. This is reset at the end of every month.
This is often due to the weak signal strength, either:
– On your mobile device, or
– In your vehicle’s location.
Try moving the vehicle or your device to an area with better mobile reception.
Open the Geely App, click on the Profile Icon (bottom right), navigate to:
Settings > Security and privacy > Account cancellation.
Note: this can take up to 7 days to take effect. Any personalisation will be lost and the vehicle will no longer be linked to the account.
To change your email:
– Cancel your current account via the Geely App
– Contact your Local Dealer to register with your new email address.
If you are purchasing another Geely, notify your Local Dealer that you already have an account so they can link your new vehicle. If you are not purchasing another Geely, cancel your account and recommend the purchaser to register their own account and contact their Local Dealer for setup.
No. Each vehicle can only be linked to one account at a time.
No. Each account can only be logged into one device at one time. Logging in from another device will log the other device out from the account.
Geely currently uses the Optus 4G network through a built in SIM card to enable connected services.
While system is designed to work reliably, connectivity may be affected by factors such as your location, signal strength, network congestion, or unexpected technical issues. In some cases, service interruptions may also occur due to issues with the mobile network provider (Optus) or other external circumstances outside of Geely’s control.
As a result, certain online features may be temporarily unavailable. Please understand that Geely Auto Australia is not responsible for disruptions caused by network providers or other connectivity-related issues.
