A home charging station ensures your Geely is always ready to explore, plus it offers convenience and assurance from the comfort of your home. Geely offers multiple options to match your requirements and preferences from Basic (Essential) to Smart Chargers with both single and three-phase options. Geely offers further convenience with Turn-Key home chargers installation solutions or the option to supply the charger on it’s own. Charging times vary depending on the type of charger, battery size, and current charge level. With a DC fast charger, charging can take as little as 20 minutes, while standard AC charging may take several hours.

Charging frequency will depend on your daily driving habits. Some people prefer to top up each night, whereas, some may fully charge the vehicle when the battery is low. Our recommendation is to maintain battery charge between 20%-80% to help reduce wear and extend the battery’s life span.

Factors like electricity rates, time-of-use pricing, and the efficiency of your EV all play a role in charging costs. Charging overnight during off-peak hours can significantly lower expenses, especially if your utility offers discounted EV rates.

  • Level 1 chargers use a standard household outlet (240-volt AC) and are the simplest to use but charge your electric vehicle quite slowly.

  • Level 2 chargers require installation by a licensed professional and use a dedicated 240-volt single or three-phase AC electrical circuit. These chargers provide much faster charging times, and offer a wide range of charging speeds depending on a number of factors.

  • Level 3 chargers, also known as DC fast chargers, are usually found in public charging stations. They can charge an EV much faster than Level 1 or Level 2 chargers, adding hundreds of kilometres of range in under an hour.

Alternating Current (AC) charging uses standard household electricity. Direct Current (DC) charging delivers electricity directly to the battery, allowing much faster charging. DC fast chargers are typically found at public or commercial charging stations due to their higher power requirements.
